IKEA hack: DIY geometric chair

Like any typical college student, my apartment is filled with IKEA furniture. And if you’re anything like me, you’re getting a little sick of how plain everything is. With a little painter’s tape and geometric inspiration, here’s a simple how-to on sprucing up your IKEA chairs!

You’ll need:
– chairs (mine are IKEA’s laver chairs)
– painters tape
– paint + brushes

1. Before you start, it’s best to clean up your chairs for a good working surface.

2. Stick painter’s tape onto the chairs, creating your desired geometric design. Try not to overthink this!

3. Paint and let dry.

4. Once dry, peel off the tape. To get clean edges, it’s important to be patient and wait for the paint to dry.

And there it is, an incredibly easy afternoon project to update your living space. It took me under 30 minutes to finish. This is also a fun way to switch things up if you’re in a rental. Now to think of a way to revamp my dining table as well… Any suggestions? Have fun
