Hexagon table makeover

Long time no see! haha. I have been so busy I almost forgot about the blog! Yikes! I’ve had many projects going, I just haven’t made time to share them with you. I’m hoping to get caught up soon.
The weather here in Kentucky has finally warmed up enough for me to get some furniture painting done! I’ve had these Hexagon tables since last fall and have been dying to get started on them!

I started by removing all the hardware. Then I used my paint sprayer to spray on a couple of coats of semi-gloss light grey paint.

Then I used some Valspar antiquing glaze and mixed it with a clear glaze medium to thin it out a bit. I used a sponge brush to brush it on and then used a wet washcloth to remove it until I had the desired amount left. I didn’t want it to be heavily antiqued, just enough to bring out the details in the front doors. To protect them, I added two coats of Polycrylic.
Finally, I spray painted the hardware with Oil Rubbed Bronze paint and put them back together. I plan to have some glass custom cut to go on top. That way they’ll be protected better and they’ll be easier to wipe off and dust.

What do you think?
