$7 side table restored

Ever stop by a garage sale and have that ONE thing that catches your eye?
The one thing that makes you stop
That happened to me a couple of weeks ago when I saw this lil’ girl I jumped out my car trying not to look too excited to get to her but making sure that no one else would snag her before I could
With ALOT of people wandering around you can never be too fast

Do they not see her? I run up to her and of course, she had no price
So I ask a guy how much she was and he says $7. Immediately I say “I’ll take it” I pay and hurry her to my car knowing I scored : )

Although she had some missing veneer (I started to fill it with wood filler before I realized I didn’t take a picture, lol)

And she was bubbling

And missing some sort of detail

She was purdy with some beautiful details and her legs … awwwww : )

After filling and sanding the missing veneer, the missing detail and re-gluing the bubbling she was ready for her new paint makeup

I wanted to do a REALLY soft pink so I made up some of my chalk paint with some Behr Poetic Princess and Plaster a Paris.

A lil’ distressin’

She needed more so I thought the top should have something else

Some Behr’s Sparrow to the rescue

After a lil’ more distressin’, some Ralph Lauren glaze in Tea Stain and wax she’s done

I added some treasures that were brought home to me by my best friend Chris from the beaches of Montauk Long Island

I’m debating whether I wanna keep her now …
