Coffee Table Upcycle

I am really happy with how this table turned out. It really was trial and error until I got the finish I was after. Once more I forgot to take a before picture. But here it is with just a light coating of spray on it. It was originally a pear wood table. Nice enough but a bit dated.

I used plain emulsion for a primer.

Then I painted it in egg shell. This finish was a bit too shiny.

So I finally ended up with Plasti Kote spray in white. It gave a more muted finish.

I lined the panel under the glass with some pretty wall paper.

Two new handles finished the job.

Do you like the shoe? Isn’t it fab! It was a table decoration at the wedding I was at last week. The Bride had every little detail of her wedding planned to perfection. A lovely memento.
