Now that the snow is gone, I’ve been busy working on my front porch for spring! Last summer, I made over these Cracker Barrel Rocking Chairs with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (Provence). Since then, I’ve been looking for a great table to go with it. Something that would go with the rocking chairs but that I wouldn’t miss if the weather got the best of it.
Well, I found it. Two of them. For $25.
Perfect, right? I wanted one for the porch, the other one I have different plans for. Anyway, I got started right away on it. Just a quick wipe down and then I started the first coat of AS Chalk Paint.
I know I’ve said it before, but the thing I love most about this paint is that there is no prep work. Zero. No sanding, no stripping, no primer… it paints right over any surface or finish.
I covered the table with 2 coats of AS Provence and let it dry overnight. The next day, I coated it with a thin layer of clear wax. Once that dried, I used a very thin layer dark wax to age it a little.
What do you think? Do you like it?
